Our Mission
Gardens that memorialize each community's greatest assets and heroes.
Our vision is to create gardens in suburban and urban communities with an emphasis on memorial gardens that honor veterans. By partnering veterans with local communities, we build agricultural centers where mental health is a top priority and individuals can access the resources they need to achieve optimal well-being.
We work alongside partners like Mobile County Training School Alumni Association, STEMMing The Tide, Gulf Coast RC&D, Bishop State Community College, Tuskegee University, Mobile Urban Garden Growers, VETS Recover, and Wholestic Wellness to carry this community project across the finish line.

Thanks to the Africatown Heritage Preservation Foundation for the funds to start our Military Memorial Garden. It's our Maroon Garden, dedicated to military service and to honoring everyone who serves.
Rooted in unity & community, this support helps us break ground on a lasting tribute for our veterans and the Africatown neighborhoods of Magazine Point, Lewis Quarters, Plateau, Happy Hill, and Kelly Hill.
